WICKHAM WANDERERS IN NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL
This season Wickham Wanderers are very proud and honoured to have gained sponsorship for the club from the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund. The Fund was borne from the terrorist attacks in New York on 11th September 2001 when Robert Eaton an avid lifelong Brighton & Hove Albion supporter was tragically one of the 67 Britons who lost their lives that terrible day. Robert was born in Brighton and moved to New York to become a successful broker for Cantor Fitzgerald. He was married and lived on Long Island. Brighton & Hove Albion supporters decided the best way to honour his memory was to hold an annual charity football match and it seemed logical to play this game against their fiercest rivals Crystal Palace FC. The charity raised over £ 25000 in the first few weeks when dozens of Albion and Palace fans joined forces and has since provided major support to disadvantaged young people in both the UK and USA who want to play organised football.
WWFC are proud to receive their sponsorship this year and further information about the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund can be found at www.remf.co.uk
